Simply great yoga holiday with Marina

Marina has been teaching Yoga in London since 2002 and is BWY qualified as well as certified to over 800Hours Yoga Alliance. She originally trained through Yoga Arts in Byron Bay Australia followed with further advanced training with the Life Centre in London.

Marina teaches a mixture of Dynamic Hatha Yoga with high emphasis on safe integral alignment and strong focus on the breath, as well as a Restorative/Yin informed practice which aims to address our deepening need for self-nurture and stillness in this fast world. Moving between the two practices fulfils the role of bringing us back to our bare essential roots and helps us attempt to start shifting our limiting thought patterns and engage in the process of re-connecting with ourselves.

Very passionate about sharing her practice in a fun, informal way, welcoming all levels and aiming to create a joyful and self defining experience, Marina teaches in several different environments and circumstances. With a background in Fine Art and photography, she relishes the creative side of sequencing and she delights in introducing new twists and turns and keeping each class fresh and interesting. Her teaching style is engaging, generous and encouraging, aiming to provide the support necessary to enable growth and fulfilment.

Having herself experienced debilitating physical limitations due to a past injury, Marina additionally studied remedial Pilates in order to further inform her Yoga practice and teaching, thereby adding an extra safety level through a better understanding of movement mechanics. This also enables her to have a better understanding and sense of empathy towards her students.

During the Yoga holiday:

Every morning we will enjoy an energising Yang Dynamic flowing practice to strengthen and connect the body and mind, including a brief sitting and various Pranayama exercises.
In the evenings we will foray into the wonderful world of Yin Restorative calming practice and delve into Mindfulness as well as glimpse the concept of 'doing nothing'.
We will also be introducing and savouring some basic elements of Yoga Philosophy.
